Cindy and I arrived in Napa Valley yesterday by noon. We had a wonderful lunch at Rutherford Grill and then set off to visit the Opus One and St. Supery vineyards. Afterwards we checked into our our AMAZING suite at Auberge du Soleil. Enjoy the photos below.

Above is a photo I took of the cliffs at Gay Head in Martha's Vineyard this afternoon with my iPhone. Cindy and I are spending the weekend here in celebration of her 30th Birthday (I am helping perpetuate this campaign of deceit concerning her age, so those of you who know her shhhhhhhh).
We are staying at one of my favorite places on the island, The Charlotte Inn (below are some photos I took this afternoon). Last night we enjoyed dinner at the Inn's very well known restaurant, now called "Catch at the Terrace", formerly known as "L'etoile". This evening we dine at a restaurant that my friend Alex owns in Vineyard Haven called "Mediterranean". Except for the absolutely terrifying Cape Air flight out of New Bedford on Friday, it has been a wonderful weekend.
The above pic is the current line Cindy and I have been sitting in for the last hour at the Canadian/US border (rt. 91). We have been informed that it may take another hour to get in the country. There does not seem to be much traffic. Instead, US border patrol seems intent on cavity searches for all of us intent on getting home tonight.
Well not actually "off the grid"...but damn close. I have decided to extend my weekend to include some time up in Campton, NH. I drove up on Sunday afternoon and plan to stay at least through Wednesday afternoon.
Yesterday, I spent the day making good progress on the current book that I am reading "Leading for Growth". I also took a long drive through the Baker Rive Valley. This entailed heading west on Tenney Mtn Hwy starting in Plymouth, NH driving to Warren, NH. It was a lovely drive. Rural New Hampshire is quite beautiful! Finally, I spent a lot of quality time with Howie.
Unfortunately, the weather has been somewhat rainy. Thunderstorms hit us yesterday. They are expected to pay another visit this afternoon. In that case, I plan to hang some pictures in my condo and catch up with some more work and blogging.
After my weekend in Arizona I traveled to California for business. Monday evening I had a meeting in LA and Tuesday evening another meeting in San Jose. During my stay in both cities, I experienced two wonderful hotels that, I just discovered, are part of the same company: Joie de Vivre Hospitality. This past weekend I attended a wedding in Carefree, AZ (about 45 minutes north of Phoenix). My friend Chris (of BuzzHoney fame) finally tied the knot. I had the pleasure of spending my weekend in the company of three wonderful girls. Soleil, Lisa, and Libby (pictured above from left to right). Soleil and Libby, your gang signs are the shizzle!

I am doing this primarily for myself as I come across so many great places to visit, but do a piss poor job actually archiving the information anywhere. I know that its been forever since I blogged. Traveling has had a lot to do with that. Last weekend I was invited to join my cousin Carmen and her friends for some Spring Skiing at Mammoth in California. This immediately followed my weekend of skiing in Vail, CO. Needless to say, this has been the best year of skiing in my life. I have totaled 12 days on the slopes. 11 of those 12 days have been spent skiing out West (7 days at Whistler, 2 Days at Vail, 2 days at Mammoth).
