The last month has been a wonderful celebration of birthdays and anniversaries. Here is the run down:
Ian, Daisy, Zach, Alex, Mom, Dad, Russell, Beth, and Cindy all joined me in Campton, NH this weekend where we had a great time playing Rock Band and cooking another dinner worthy of Thanksgiving.
Thanks to everyone who played a role in this past weeks celebrations!!!!
Howie has pulled his fare share of gorgeous women in Boston(or wherever he goes for that matter). However, this afternoon he established his personal best by wooing Elaine Irwin Mellencamp at the Four Seasons in Boston. We ran into her and her two sons (Hud and Spec) after having brunch with Cindy and Lorelle. John Mellencamp was also with her, however he walked on a bit as to not draw too much attention to himself.
To be honest, I did not know exactly who she was when we met. Both Lorelle and I thought she was some famous model but could not place her face. John Mellencamp did not stop so we only saw his back. Having gained a few pounds and looking a bit disheveled (t-shirt tucked into a pair of sweat pants), he was not that recognizable. Indeed, we all thought to ourselves..."what the hell is she do with that guy??" It was Cindy who pointed out it was the Mellencamps and informed us that he was performing tonight at the Boston Esplanade during the Fourth of July celebration.
Elaine, Hud and Spec were all very polite and gracious as they doted over Howie. No doubt this was a very cool experience for Cindy, Lorelle and I. Howie , on the other hand, regarded them as just some more needy fans :) .
The below pic was taken today of my twin brother Ian and I for a Forbes piece that is being put together regarding One to One Interactive. Guess who is who! LOL.
One of the things I really enjoy about Oglebay Park is the abundant wildlife. This morning while my Father and I were walking the dogs we ran into a fanily of seven deers. I tried to take a photo with my camera phone...but it did not turn out. Plan to bring my real camera on all future strolls.
Howie and I finally made to Wheeling, WV after two days of driving. The trip went by without a hitch. Howie was an excellent wingman.
We are staying in Sumac Cabin in Oglebay Park. This is the same one we had when we last gathered two years ago. Needless to say, a ton of memories from our 2004 reunion came flooding back as soon as I walked through the door.
Joining me are my Father and his family, my first cousins Colleen and Shannon (and their families), my Aunt Debbie, and my favorite Aunt Nancy (she asked me to call her that). Many more will be joining throughout the week. Most notably my Mother, Cliff, Ian, and his Fam are arriving Thursday.

Today, Howie and I (as well as my twin brother Ian) celebrate our birthdays. Howie turns 3. Ian and I turn 36 (I have committed to being happy about my thirties for the last five years of them as opposed to stressing about it like I did in my first five years).
Other notable celebrations this month:
Note: Its obvious from the above that our family gets married in November and procreates in February (hell....its Valentine's Day month....can you blame us????)
