A Day in Siena

The following set represents a day of photography in the city of Siena (Tuscany, Italy)

Portraits

Yesterday, we spent most of our day shooting three models that joined us in San Quireco.  As you will discern from the photos I provide below, they came dressed in traditional medieval gowns.   I am particularly fond of the first shot I took as I directed the pose.  I wanted to do something less traditional and more seductive (imagine that!).  Her name is Fredrika (insert longing sigh).

Pioggia

The following set, titled "Rain" in Italian, was taken in the  medieval village of San Quireco (Tuscany, Italy) this afternoon.  To capture these shots I sat in the rain for about an hour looking though nothing but the  camera's viewfinder.  I got soaked....but it was worth it.

 

"Journey" at La Galleria

Tonight, I am attending an art exhibit hosted by my new friend Lisa Finch.  She has named the exhibit "Journey" and states that the collection of 10 works she plans to show is  "a series of abstract paintings inspired by Dante Alrighieri's poetry.  His words have depth and visual meaning that inspire me to create imagery spaces and moments".

Artist reception with complimentary champagne and hors d'oeuvres.  Featuring Patrick and Jon performing Bossa Nova and Jazz Standards.

11pm-2am:

DJs Enrique, Francesco, B Dub, and Nickmatic will be performing eclectic DJ sets.
