I am currently reading Frances Mayes' Under The Tuscan Sun and I just ran across a passage that made me laugh out loud. There is a section near the end of the book (pg. 182 to be exact) where the mayor of Naples is quoted on the topic of driving in that city:
"A green light is a green light, avanti, avanti!
A red light-just a suggestion.
And yellow? Yellow is for gaiety."
I love it! :)
